We've long been partial to Sun's Directory Server technology. We ran our own mail and calendaring systems off the Sun Directory Server and also built our internal contact management system based on Oblix COREid installed against the Sun Directory. In fact, a great deal of our customer work with this direcotry platform came as byproduct of Oblix COREid implementation projects. Back in the early days of the Oblix products, Sun's directory was the most popular LDAP foundation.
It makes a difference when your implementer likes the tools they are tasked to utilize. We love the Sun Directory. It works. It's friendly to administer. We've been, successfully, around the block with this product on serveral occasions.
